Tamara Zablocki
Tamara Zablocki is the founder of Symptom Journal and the leader of the Symptom Journal team. She is the inventor of the Symptom Journal technology. Tamara brings more than 25 years experience in research, product development, business consulting, marketing and sales analysis, group facilitation, sales, business recruiting, small business startup skills, motivational speaking and training background to the Symptom Journal team.
She has extensive background in product launch, research and market analysis, management and team building, and business consulting skills. She has assisted a wide range of companies from the fashion and cosmetic industry to software companies. She has assembled a team with complementary backgrounds, who believe in the Symptom Journal’s mission and philosophy, and want to build a business with heart and compassion as its core values.
Tamara brings years of spiritual seeking and facilitating emotional development for others to Symptom Journal. She has provided motivational tools and techniques for individuals and their families with Symptom Journal, giving them support when the journey with their health conditions could be difficult. Her passion drives her commitment to assist individuals with chronic conditions to have health tools that can enable them to reduce their symptoms, make more empowered choices, and gain hope for living their best life.
Alisa Etzel, M.B.A.
Alisa Etzel brings more than 12 years of combined marketing and project management experience to Symptom Journal. She has an extensive background in marketing strategy, product launch, competitive analysis and marketing communications. Prior to joining the Symptom Journal, she held several positions in the telecom and biotech industries, including at Lucent Technologies, and most recently at Genentech.
Alisa holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of California at Davis, an M.B.A. in marketing management and international business from California State University, East Bay, and has her Biotechnology Business and Marketing Certificate from University of California Berkeley Extension Program. She is passionate about providing a health tool that can enable people with chronic health conditions to live healthier and happier lives.
Lisa Cain, PhD.
Lisa Cain leads our web design and programming team. She is a co-founder of PagePoint Web Solutions and has known Tamara for many years. When Tamara approached the PagePoint leadership about participating with Symptom Journal on this project, Lisa was inspired by the opportunity to help people find a path to better health.
Lisa has a Ph.D. in Marketing from the Wharton School, a Bachelor's of Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, an MBA from the University of Delaware, and a Master's of Marketing from Wharton. In addition to her role with PagePoint and Symptom Journal, she teaches marketing courses at Mills College in Oakland and also assists with the Global Consulting Practicum at Wharton's San Francisco campus.
Jennifer Sobrero, M.S., CCC-SLP
Jennifer Sobrero brings more than 14 years of experience with the Autism community to our team. As a licensed speech language pathologist she has worked with all ages of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Jennifer holds a B.A. in International Relations from University of California at Davis and a M.S. in Speech- Language Pathology from California State University at Sacramento.
Jennifer’s area of expertise includes: autism, aspergers syndrome, social pragmatic disorder, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC), developmental apraxia, Specific Learning Disability, Phonological Processing Disorder and Auditory Processing Disorder. She has led numerous successful Social Skills Training groups. Her philosophy includes the belief in treating the individual with ASD using a holistic approach with emphasis on family support and involvement. She feels this creates the possibility for positive outcomes for individuals with ASD.
Jennifer joined the Symptom Journal team because of her commitment to individuals with ASD and their dedicated families. In her career lifetime she knew she could touch the lives of hundreds of children and that with the Symptom Journal she would have the ability to help potentially many thousands of individuals with ASD attain their best quality of life. She knew that with the one-of-a-kind tools and technology that Symptom Journal offers, parents, adults and children with ASD will have a consistent system for tracking behaviors, nutrition, symptoms, and therapy inventions providing in-depth correlations between the individuals with ASD lifestyle choices and their health and educational outcomes.
