Dr Allan Bernstein is a clinical neurologist, researcher, writer and teacher. He has authored more than fifty publications on various neurological topics including migraine, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and the role of B-vitamins in neurological illnesses. He continues to be active in research on Alzheimer's disease, migraine, and multiple sclerosis. He also teaches for UCSF and Sonoma State University. His wide-ranging interests include chronic pain, complications of medications and aging of the brain.

Jack Mawer, D.C. is a chiropractor practicing in Encinitas, CA. He brings 12 years of experience helping individuals and families along their healing path through chiropractic care and health education. It is a passion of his to study wellness and healing from a holistic perspective.

He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College,L.A. and undergraduate studies at University of Hawaii and Cal State Northridge. He stays current with chiropractic continuing education in areas of study supporting Sacro-Occipital Technique, craniopathy, pediatrics, nutrition, wellness and pre-natal care.

Wayne Pan, MD, PhD, MBA — Wayne brings over 20 years of broad healthcare industry experience from clinical medicine, as a fellowship-trained orthopaedic hand surgeon, to molecular biology basic science research to managed care and healthcare information technology. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University and completed his MD/PhD degrees concurrently as a recipient of a Medical Scientist Training Program grant at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Wayne’s graduate work was in the area of transcriptional regulation of mammalian genes. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Clinics and continued with a post-graduate clinical fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the Philadelphia Hand Center. Wayne previously was on faculty at Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he taught hand surgery fellows, orthopaedic surgery residents and medical students and was Director of the Microsurgery Laboratory. He as also worked in private practice and HMO settings.

Wayne left clinical practice to become the medical director of a local Medicaid managed care plan where he successfully started a new line of business in Medicare. He has worked on the plan side for over 5 years. Today, Wayne continues to work in managed care, now as chief medical officer of a San Francisco Bay area IPA with about 30,000 covered lives. Wayne was also a consultant with L.E.K. Consulting, a global management consulting group, working with healthcare services, biotech and medical device companies. He is on the adjunct faculty at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches a course on global consulting, focused on strategic positioning and marketing techniques used to bring products and services from foreign companies into the US marketplace. Wayne has worked with both start-up and established medical device companies, on the preclinical as well as clinical sides, to help improve their product offerings and bring new ideas to market.
